About Astrology

It is easy to become lost in life without a way to locate yourself.  Where are you at in this landscape?  Where are you going, and from where have you come?  Your birth chart is a map of your life, both inner and outer.  Ther terrain that is inside you and the road that will rise to meet you.  When you learn to read this map, you will never be without guidance.

Here is how astrology can help you:

Understanding of Self

Over time our understanding of who we are can become clouded by who we want to be, who others want us to be, and what we think we should want to be.  Your natal chart gives you a clear picture of who you actually are.

What are your strengths and weaknesses? Where are your deepest wounds that are obscuring your light?  Whate brings you peace and comfort?  What ignites your passion?  How should you best maintain health and vitality? What is the best way to present yourself as you move through the world?  And how do all these pieces fit together within you?

Understanding your Life

Through your birthchart you can read the story of your life. You'll see which areas of life will bring the greatest challenges, and which will flow with ease.

You can look back and make sense of your past, aligning your memory with the symbolism to find meaning in your experiences.  You can receive the precious gift of foresight, knowing the broad brushstrokes of your future that you will color with detail.  And you can understand where you're at right now in this unfolding narrative.

Understanding your Purpose

One of my favorite gifts astrology offers is insight into your life's purpose.  What is it that makes life worth living for you?  What brings you joy and vitality?

There is a thread in the web of life that only you can spin.  When you take up your part in the weaving, your soul will rejoice.

Understanding your Wounds

Astrology can be an immense aid to overcoming stuck patterning.  By looking at what your chart has to say about your wounding, you can unearth the roots of your concerns.  Issues such as depression, addiction, anxiety, stress, eating disorders, rage, grief, and burnout can be examined.

In addition to finding a problem's source, the birth chart can help prescribe remediatory measures.  When working with complex issues it can be helpful to call upon help outside of yourself.  I draw upon my experience as an herbalist to suggest plants that my clients can ally with for growth and change.
